Students participating on the German-Dartmouth Exchange need not find their own place. That is taken care of by the VDAC, which administers the German end of the program.
Some of our programs take care of housing for you; in other cases, you need to find your own lodging.

The Max Planck Institutes in Martinsried and Jena will furnish guest housing if you are doing an internship there.
If you are engaged in an internship in the Bundestag, you are on your own, although most students who do that have already participated in the FSP, and some make arrangements with their former host families. Note, however, that such arrangements are private, and it is up to you and the family to define the conditions, financially and otherwise. That being said, sometimes our family placer is willing to help you find one of our traditional host families if your internship is during the winter, when there is no LSA or FSP.
