Max Kade German Center

The Max Kade German Center provides affinity housing for 20 students interested in the German language as well as in other matters Swiss, German, or Austrian. The Center is also a gathering place for non-resident students who share these interests.

About the Center

It contains a library, seminar rooms, and a lounge for cultural and social events such as lectures, small conferences, and film showings. It also includes several attractive apartments. Each has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and individual bedrooms.

In conjunction with the German Club, the resident advisor at the Kade Center sponsors activities such as dinners, movies, an Oktoberfest, hikes, and discussions with visitors.

The 2018-19 Kade Resident Advisor is Dennis Wegner. Dennis is also the German Department's Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant and will assist in beginning language instruction and organize German Club and Kade Center activities.

Antonie Huff, a student of Performing Arts, Education, and English at the Universtit of Braunschweig and the Technical University of Braunschweig, is the Federation of German-American Clubs Exchange Fellow at Dartmouth in 2018-19, will also live in the Kade Center.
