The German Club sold a variety of homemade cookies to benefit a local food bank.
The baked goods included a variety of Old World-inspired specialties including Spitzbuben, Kokosbusserl, Vanillekipferl, and Sbrisolona (an Italian almond cookie) under the direction of Winfried Stangl, our Fulbright FLTA and Nicola Mazzotti our Berlin graduate exchange student. Also served was Glühpunch, a mulled apple cider with traditional spices.
All proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to Upper Valley Haven. Since 1980 Upper Valley Haven has provided temporary shelter and educational programming for homeless families and adults as well as food to anyone in need.
