Carol Dunne, the director of Northern Stage Theater in White River Junction, and Klaus Mladek (German Studies) have been collaborating to offer free student show and post-performance discussion tickets for Wednesday, October 19. Frank Wedekind's coming-of-age play Spring Awakening
German playwright Wedekind's play about adolescent sexuality, school and suicide became a rock musical on Broadway (2015-20) that won Grammy and Tony awards. Wedekind's original play was highly controversial when it first opened in 1906. It was subsequently censured and banned for its highly provocative and explicit content.
