Faculty retreat with Ulrike Draesner

On May 6 and 7, 2022, the German Studies Faculty attended a weekend retreat at Lake Morey, VT with acclaimed German-language author and Visiting Max Kade Professor Ulrike Draesner.

Scholars on contemporary literature from New England, the director of the Goethe-Institute in Boston, and faculty from the German department discussed her latest novel, Das 21. Jahrhundert schaut aus der Wäsche, which is still in manuscript form.

Ulrike is currently teaching a spring course for our German students entitled German 82.09: The Hill We Climb Down.
