She grew up and received her formal education in the most southern province of Austria, called Carinthia. She graduated in June 2015 with a master degree in Secondary Education in English and History and in July 2015 with a bachelor degree in English and American Studies.

Her master thesis “‘Beneath the ha’r’: a critical reading of the mountain man as a corporate agent of American empire” focused on the romanticized figure of the mountain man in the early 19th century in the American West and tries to uncover his real nature of being a dependent worker.

Following her graduation, she did her first year of teaching at a public high school in Villach, Austria. Afterwards she worked for three years in the after-school program of a public middle school in Feistritz an der Drau.

In January 2019 she was hired at a grammar school (Gymnasium) in Spittal an der Drau as a substitute teacher in English and was teaching five English classes.

Currently, she is finishing another bachelor’s degree in history, writing her bachelor thesis on violence in the South African War in 1899-1902, focusing on the policies, such as scorched earth policy and concentration camps, which were adopted by the British during the war.

The thesis also covers the role of the media in the war and how it shaped public opinion.

Her academic interests are American Culture and History, Colonial History from the 17th - 19th Century, Politics and Political Education and Education in general.
